Action Date, April 13th 1918 – Armentieres
On the afternoon of April 13th 1918, when the company was advancing over the open, this man, though wounded, kept on under heavy machine gun and rifle fire and brought his Lewis gun carriers to the objective, where he handed them over to the N.C.O. of the gun. He set a very fine example to the rest of the men by his courage and endurance.
